Who can be a Spot?
A Spot can be a place, an event or a shared journey — permanent, temporary or on the move. Clubs, festivals, hotels, airports, cruise ships, rooftops, trade shows, coworking spaces, restaurants and coffee shops are just a few examples. You need the authority to represent the Spot you set up.
Do I need a CRAYS franchise?
No. An independent Spot keeps its own brand. Using the CRAYS name and brand is a separate route under a full franchise agreement, with the contracted ecosystem software and support package. A Spot subscription does not include a franchise or brand licence.
Can I bring my existing content and systems?
Photos, PDFs, text and voice can help prepare catalogue drafts for your review. Connections to existing booking, POS, commerce and other business systems depend on the provider, your plan, permissions and setup. You review your offers and terms before publishing.
What can my team see?
Assign the appropriate publishing, community, service and billing roles. Each place keeps its own permissions. Community membership, bookings, physical check-in and voluntary social visibility are separate. Your team does not gain access to guests’ private conversations.
How does Chuck fit into daily work?
Chuck can help with permitted information and authorised tasks. Your team can also use the tools directly without an AI conversation. Actions that need approval remain subject to your permissions, and a request is not a confirmed booking or payment.
What are Nostr, relays and Blossom?
CRAYS is a Nostr app. Nostr is an open protocol for signed social updates; relays carry that content between compatible apps and communities. Blossom servers host media. This gives you more choice over where your social content and media live, while access rights, private information and backups still need appropriate controls.
How do the plans work?
Start with a free Spot profile or choose a paid plan for more tools and storage. Spot Connect brings your presence and community together in the app. Spot Badge adds your own Spot Manager for everyday business. Spot Collective adds the full Manager scope. Available connections depend on your provider and setup. Monthly and yearly billing are available; prices are net plus applicable local taxes.
